I am finally getting around back into blogging. Hmph. There’s a lot to update on, but I am not sure how much I feel like getting back into right now. I need to get to visiting some of my buddies. Anyway, here’s a mass (brief) update from what’s been going on in the past few months.

Feb.
I honestly do not remember most of February, it was really not an eventful month at all, it was mostly me sitting around waiting for the time go by because I hated the weather and it was the longest trimester of my life. I was also busy catching up on bills.

March
This was a fun month and I met a lot of new people and learned a lot of new things. I met someone I knew from a past life and reconnected with a guy friend of mine. This was “deciding” month in how the summer and pending school year would go. My sister Saxi spent Spring Break with me in which I went back home to CT and spent it with the fams! I picked up a second major in Computer Programming AND joined an Honors Program (S.H.A.R.P.).

April
Okay WOW busy, busy, busy month. For the first three weekends of the month I was out-of-state or not home. I went back to CT the first week for Easter, the second week I went to Mass with my friend who is Cambodian for Khmer New Year (I got a new family too), and the third week I was down in Newport to the beach with a friend of mine and got inherently stranded (fun =/). I also had to deal with more school things such as finalizing my schedule for next year and deciding on housing in which I am supposed to be getting a four-bedroom apt with two friends and my sister. Hint: the word supposed.

There’s the brief month-by-month, now for specific topics.

Family Life
Mom, lil bro, lil sis are all peachy. My gg (great-grandma) is moving from Virgina to CT come May 14th/15th. My big sis Sax is all smiles with her fiance, Ross. I reconnected with my Aunt Pat and pshh, my dad — that silly man, I haven’t spoken to him since he gave my older brothers, his ex-wife and I that surgery scare. He’s a tough old mule though. <3

Social/School Life
Busy as shit. This is my FIRST weekend in three in which I have it all to myself. My friends rock my socks though. School sucks up a majority of my time, what can I say? Ending my first year of college and going into my third.

Love Life
After I grieved and got myself out of that slump, it’s been fine. I’ve been cruising, not really looking for too much, but it seems to find me. Flirts here and there, but nothing really serious. I’ve got a crush, no idea how that will play out.

Okay that’s enough for now.

I’ve made my happy holiday wishes to all and I hope that your New Year was one of excitement, love, and family. I had a very fun holiday. I went home on December 21st and absolutely loved it. As much as Mtown is not as exciting as Providence, it’s very homey and familiar.

The first week I was home, which was the week of the 22nd was all about immediate family. I spent the time home with my younger siblings and mother. I haven’t spoken about it on my blog yet, but I’ve come in my own spiritual awareness and I picked up my first deck of Tarot cards that Monday. I went to the New Age store because there are none close to me in R.I. and they immediately called out to me. I’ve come quite quickly into my own and I’m loving it. I’ll go into more depth in another journal.

My mother and I really bonded this Christmas, went spent a lot of time together. Christmas itself was very bountiful despite the economy being in the crapper, literally. I received the MP3 player I wanted, the Cowon iAudio D2, it’s full on-touch screen with 8GB PLUS expandable space and I’m a mad woman for expansion slots! I gave my mom my old one, which was a Sansa Sandisk — nothing was wrong with it, I just wanted an upgrade. I received a bunch of clothes and a bit of cash which really touched my heart. My brother and sister were more so the ones that got the “bulk” of material gifts and I was flat broke, but I managed to scrape together a bit of cash to get the painting supplies I needed.

I created what is called “Mother’s Lily” — which was a portrait of a lily with various meanings aimed just at my mother. She loved it.

The following week was spent with my cousins, which was wild whirlwind of fun.

New Year’s was spent home this year! *Depressing.* It SNOWED the morning of New Year’s Eve, and it was a thick blanket of snow so no traveling to New York.

I am keeping this a little short since so many things went on and I’d be writing for days, either way I returned home on Jan. 4th. Another update in a few days perhaps?
